Alex Smith and Football Team clinch NFC East, will host Buccaneers in Wild Card
Washington Football Team quarterback Alex Smith completed 22-of-32 passes for 162 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in a 20-14, Week 17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Smith, returning from a two-game absence, did what was needed to secure the NFC East and a playoff berth for the Football Team. It was the first time Smith threw multiple touchdown passes this season. He and Washington's entire offense will face a stiffer test in a Wild Card matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday night.
Smith scored 12.5 FanDuel points in Week 17. He is the last-ranked starting quarterback in numberFire's weekly fantasy rankings for the Wild Card round and has a salary of $6,500 on FanDuel's Saturday slate. The Buccaneers ranked 15th in FanDuel points allowed per game to the quarterback position this season and 7th against the pass in numberFire's scheduled-adjusted defensive rankings.
