Cole Beasley quiet for Bills before departing

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley caught 3 passes on 5 targets for 17 yards during a 38-9, Week 16 win over the New England Patriots on Monday night before exiting with a lower-body injury.

What It Means:

Beasley left near the beginning of the fourth quarter with an apparent injury. The yards and yards per catch (5.7) both set season-lows. The Bills do have the No. 2 seed to play for in Week 17, but they may elect to hold Beasley out versus the Miami Dolphins to let him heal for the postseason. The possible return of John Brown (COVID-19) would help offset Beasley's potential absence.

Beasley finished with 3.2 FanDuel points on Monday. Among the 84 receivers with at least 50 targets this season, Beasley ranks 17th in yards per route run and 23rd in Reception Net Expected Points per target. The Dolphins are 19th in FanDuel points allowed per game to the wide receiver position this season.
