Dwayne Haskins starting for Football Team in Week 16
Washington Football Team quarterback Dwayne Haskins will start in the team's Week 16 game against the Carolina Panthers.
The teams aren't squaring off until 4:05 p.m. ET, but the decision on Washington's starter under center has already come in. It'll be Haskins, as the team decided veteran Alex Smith isn't quite ready to return from the soreness in his surgically-repaired leg. Should the Football Team hold onto its first-place position in the NFC East - and thus, a guaranteed playoff spot - it'll be interesting to see if and/or when Smith resumes his role as starting signal caller.
Entering Week 16, the Panthers ranked 19th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per pass play.
