Mike Williams (back) reportedly sitting for Chargers Thursday night
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams (back) is not expected to play in Week 15 against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Williams and Keenan Allen (hamstring) may both be sidelined for Thursday's divisional matchup. Tyron Johnson caught 6 passes on 7 targets for 55 yards and a touchdown off the bench for Williams last week. He and Jalen Guyton would step into the starting receiver jobs if Williams and Allen are both ruled out. Hunter Henry and Austin Ekeler should also both see upticks in usage against a Raiders team that has already ruled out four defensive starters.
Over the last three weeks, since Ekeler returned from injured reserve, Allen has led the Chargers with a 21.7 percent target share. Ekeler is second at 21.0 percent and Henry is third at 14.5 percent. The Raiders are allowing the 12th-most FanDuel points per game to the wide receiver position this season. Johnson is adding the most Reception Net Expected Points per target this season among all players with at least 15 targets.
