Raiders' Josh Jacobs reportedly dealing with ankle sprain
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs suffered an ankle sprain during Sunday's Week 12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Jacobs suffered the injury on a lost fumble late in the third quarter. He had just 7 carries for 27 yards and 3 catches (3 targets) for 17 yards before leaving. Jacobs is undergoing tests but he seems to have a shot of suiting up for Week 13 against the New York Jets. Devontae Booker would potentially have a three-down role in the plus matchup if Jacobs isn't available.
Jacobs is averaging 14.5 FanDuel points per game this season, 11th-most among running backs. He's averaging the sixth-fewest yards per carry out of the 31 backs with at least 100 carries this season, but his volume (third-most touches in the NFL) makes up for the inefficiency. The Jets are allowing the 12th-most FanDuel points per game to the running back position this season.
