Jerick McKinnon will 'get a lot of work' for 49ers in Week 10

San Francisco 49ers running back Jerick McKinnon will "get a lot of work" in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints, writes Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area.

What It Means:

"The 49ers have to put together extended drives, and McKinnon should make an impact on all downs," Maiocco said. He believes McKinnon could particularly excel as a pass-catcher matched up against new Saints linebacker Kwon Alexander. In the three games McKinnon had at least 15 touches this season, he averaged 80.7 yards from scrimmage and scored each time. Raheem Mostert (ankle) and Tevin Coleman (knee) remain sidelined, but JaMycal Hasty should also be involved in the 49ers' backfield.

McKinnon is now the RB11 in numberFire's Week 10 fantasy rankings and our models project him for 17.5 touches with 13.0 FanDuel points on Sunday. He has a salary of $5,500 on the main slate. McKinnon is averaging 15.2 FanDuel points and has hit double-digits six times in the games he's played at least half of the snaps. Alexander's coverage grade (42.9) from Pro Football Focus this season ranks 50th out of 65 linebackers with at least 250 snaps.
