Carolina's Luke Kuechly has partially torn labrum, needs surgery
Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly will have surgery to repair a partially torn labrum this offseason.
He suffered the injury in Week 17 and played through it. Two of Kuechly's teammates, Mario Addison and Ryan Delaire, are undergoing the same surgery. Kuechly, who led all players with 29 tackles during the playoffs, expects to be ready for training camp.
Kuechly is a massive part of a Carolina defense which finished 2015 ranked second in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play. In 13 games, he made 118 tackles (9.07 per game) with one sack, four interceptions, one defensive touchdown, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and 10 passes defended.
