Eagles' Lane Johnson (knee) ruled out for Week 8's clash with Cowboys
Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Lane Johnson (knee) has been downgraded to out and will not play against the Dallas Cowboys.
Johnson's knee reportedly swelled up this morning and will force him to miss Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys. While losing a player of Johnson's quality is never good, it will be less punishing against a Cowboys defense that has failed to provide a challenge to a single team they've faced this season. Johnson will rest up through the Eagles Week 9 bye and attempt to face the New York Giants in Week 10.
The Eagles are 10.5-point favorites over the Cowboys in Week 10. Their implied team total of 26.5 is the seventh-highest team total in Week 8.
