Cardinals' Kenyan Drake (ankle) to miss "a few weeks"
Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake suffered a slight tear in one of his ankle tendons and is expected to miss "a few weeks".
Drake appeared to be in serious pain when he went down on Sunday night, and MRIs today confirmed that he suffered a slightly torn ankle tendon during the team's last-second victory over the Seattle Seahawks. Drake could do a stint on the injured reserve while he recovers.
Drake's absence should open up more opportunities for Chase Edmonds, who has shined in a secondary role for most of the season. He put up 145 scrimmage yards on 12 touches against the Seahawks and has dominated as a pass-catcher already on a near-weekly basis.
