Green Bay expected to let Casey Hayward walk in free agency
The Green Bay Packers are expected to let cornerback Casey Hayward walk in free agency, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.
Hayward, a 2012 second-rounder, may have been the Packers' best cover corner in 2015, but the team has Damarious Randall, Quinten Rollins and Sam Shields to build around. Going on 27, Hayward has said he expects to hit the open market. He shouldn't struggle for suitors with the way cornerbacks have gotten paid the past few seasons. Hayward can play both in the slot and outside.
The Packers ended 2015 ranked 11th in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play.
