Raiders’ Josh Jacobs working on all-around game
Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs has been working with Hall of Famer Marcus Allen on becoming a better all-around back.
“Everything. Everything. Literally,” Jacobs replied when asked what he and Allen discuss. “When it comes to pass-blocking, staying inside-out. Learning how, on the runs, making sure I know everything that the offensive line is doing, the receivers are doing, who’s blocking who. The rotations of the safeties." Jacobs isn't as efficient as a runner in his second season (3.6 yards per attempt) as he was as a rookie (4.8), but he's doubling his receiving production and totaling nearly just as many yards from scrimmage (97.0). Jacobs will continue to be the Raiders' workhorse in a tough matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7 following the team's bye week.
numberFire's models project Jacobs for 16.6 FanDuel points in Week 7 with a salary of $7,800. The Buccaneers are allowing the 10th-fewest FanDuel points to opposing backfields (19.2) and have the best run defense in the league, according to our advanced rankings.
