Browns designate David Njoku (knee) to return from injured reserve
Cleveland Browns tight end David Njoku is set to return from injured reserve after the team designated him to do so Wednesday.
Njoku isn't officially back on the active roster just yet - the team has 21 days to let him practice and get back into game shape. But it seems as though the dynamic pass catcher has a chance to play this weekend against the Indianapolis Colts. If so, he'll slot in behind Austin Hooper on the depth chart and be another dynamic receiving option for Baker Mayfield.
Indianapolis has been stout against the pass through 4 games, ranking 4th in the NFL in adjusted net expected points allowed per pass play.
