Eagles' Dallas Goedert (ankle) to reportedly miss 'at least a couple weeks'
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert (ankle) is expected to miss "at least a couple weeks," reports Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Goedert will not require surgery for a very small fracture in his ankle, but he's still facing a multi-game absence. He led the Eagles with 17 targets and 131 yards over the first two games before going down on Sunday. Zach Ertz and Miles Sanders each drew 6 targets in the second half Sunday with Goedert sidelined while Greg Ward received 5 of his own. Ertz will likely take over as the Eagles' top target in Week 4 versus the San Francisco 49ers.
numberFire's models expect Ertz to lead the Eagles with 8.4 targets on Sunday night, followed by Greg Ward (6.1). Ertz currently leads all tight ends with 226 air yards this season and the Eagles target their tight ends more than any other team in the NFL. The 49ers have only allowed a total of 6.5 FanDuel points to opposing tight ends this season.
