Buccaneers' Mike Evans removed from injury report ahead of Week 2 showdown with Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was removed from the injury report on Friday and will play against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.
Evans practiced in full on Friday and appears to be over a hamstring injury that limited him in Week 1. Chris Godwin (concussion) is doubtful for Week 2, which could leave Evans as the primary target in the Tampa passing attack facing a Raiders' pass defense ranked 22nd overall after Week 1 by numberFire's Team Rankings. numberFire's models expect Evans to see 9.5 targets against the Panthers in Week 2.
The Buccaneers are 8.5-point favorites over the Panthers in Week 2. Their implied team total of 28.0 points is the fifth-highest team total on Sunday's main slate, according to numberFire's DFS Heat Map. Evans is the WR5 in our Week 2 rankings.
