Amari Cooper (ankle) on track to play for Cowboys in Week 2
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper (ankle) is on track to play Week 2 against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said Cooper “went through everything" at Friday's practice and that he doesn't "foresee a setback there.” Cooper seems good to go for Week 2 after being added to the injury report Thursday. He led the Cowboys across the board with 10 catches on 14 targets for 81 yards in Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams while dealing with Jalen Ramsey's coverage. Cooper should finds things a bit easier on Sunday against rookie A.J. Terrell and an Atlanta Falcons defense that allowed 322 pass yards and 4 touchdowns to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1.
numberFire's models expect Cooper to score 14.0 Fanduel points in Week 2 with 8.5 targets, 5.6 receptions, and 78.2 yards. He's the WR6 in our weekly fantasy rankings with a salary of $7,000. The Falcons had the second-worst ranked 25th pass defense in Week 1, according to numberFire's advanced metrics.
