Buccaneers looking to increase Mike Evans' targets heading into Week 2 clash with Panthers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans should have been moved around the formation more against New Orleans in Week 1, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
On his weekly radio show, Arians talked about how Tampa should have moved Mike Evans around the formation against the Saints in Week 1 instead of keeping him outside. He also said that he "feels bad" any time Evans has less than 10 targets in a game. If the Buccaneers achieve that goal in Week 2, it bodes well for Evans' outlook facing a Carolina Panthers defense ranked eighth-worst against the pass in numberFire's team rankings. Our models expect Evans to see 9.3 targets in Week 2.
Evans' Week 2 projection includes 5.5 receptions, 74.3 yards, 0.52 touchdowns, and 13.4 FanDuel points. His salary is $7,400.
