Golden Tate (hamstring) inactive for Giants Monday

The New York Giants have ruled Golden Tate (hamstring) out for Monday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What It Means:

Tate picked up the injury towards the end of training camp and barely practiced afterwards. The team will wait until he's fully healthy before putting him back on the field. Tate's absence should help consolidate targets for the Giants' remaining pass-catchers.

Sterling Shepard is expected to be the Giants' top wideout this season, and saw a boost to his snaps from the slot (where he thrives) when Tate missed time in 2019. Shepard's salary on FanDuel for tonight's contests is $5,700.
