Sony Michel (foot) expected to 'ease' into Patriots' mix

The New England Patriots "figure to ease" running back Sony Michel (foot) "into the mix," writes Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.

What It Means:

Michel, who underwent foot surgery in May, has only practiced for two weeks. "I am feeling good," Michel said. "I like where I'm at and I am headed in the right direction." The Patriots may want to limit Michel's snaps in Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins, but with Damien Harris (hand) landing on injured reserve, the 2018 first-rounder could still see a sizable early-down role out of necessity. Rex Burkhead may also handle some rushing work and James White will be responsible for pass-catching downs.

numberFire's models expect Michel to score 6.9 FanDuel points in Week 1. He's the RB40 in our weekly fantasy rankings and costs $6,000.
