Dolphins wideout Preston Williams (ACL) cleared for football activities

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Preston Williams (ACL) has been cleared for football activities.

What It Means:

Williams was a surprise standout for the 'Phins last season, but unfortunately tore his ACL in November just when the team was picking up steam. Once he truly became a starter in Week 3, he began averaging 8.12 targets per game across from teammate DeVante Parker, who himself enjoyed a nice breakout last season. With Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tua Tagovailoa at quarterback this season, Williams should be a player to keep on your radars.

Williams' early-season numbers were perhaps even more impressive considering that he still had to play with Josh Rosen at quarterback for much of the first part of the season. Things really took off when the team transitioned to Fitzpatrick, who averaged almost 2 full more yards per attempt than the struggling sophomore. Williams' quarterback play should be much better overall than it was last year. He's currently projected as numberFire's WR47, with 104.99 fantasy points.
