Rapoport: Jaguars' Yannick Ngakoue drawing trade interest
Jacksonville Jaguars franchise-tagged defensive lineman Yannick Ngakoue is still a trade target for certain teams, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Rapoport says that a trade would be "difficult" and "complicated" before Wednesday's extension deadline, "but not impossible." Ngakoue demanded a trade on Twitter back in April amid failed contract negotiations with the Jaguars. Ngakoue recorded 8.0 sacks, 13 tackles for loss, 4 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recoveries, 1 interception, 6 pass deflections, 15 quarterback hits, and 27 pressures in 15 games last season. The 25-year-old has recorded at least 8.0 sacks and forced 4-plus fumbles each of his first four seasons in the league.
numberFire's models expect Ngakoue to record 50.4 tackles, 9.7 sacks, 3.4 pass deflections, and 2.2 forced fumbles this season. The Jaguars D/ST is 22nd in our preseason fantasy rankings.
