Giants' Leonard Williams expected to play under tag
New York Giants defensive lineman Leonard Williams is unlikely to sign a long-term deal before the July 15 deadline, writes Ralph Vacchiano of SNY.
The Giants tagged Williams as a defensive tackle back in April, but he filed a grievance to be paid as an end. The former No. 6 overall pick recorded just 0.5 sacks over 736 defensive snaps last season.
numberFire's models project Williams for 44.7 tackles, 2.1 sacks, and 3.3 pass deflections this season. The Giants D/ST is 28th in our preseason fantasy rankings.
