Eagles' Carson Wentz confirms he suffered a concussion
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz confirmed that he suffered a concussion in the team's Wild Card round loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Wentz suffered a scary hit from Jadeveon Clowney at the very start of the contest and was unable to return. It was assumed that he had indeed suffered a concussion, but it was never confirmed until now. He'll have the entire offseason to recover from the injury, but concussions do have a scary tendency to reoccur.
While the team's selection of Jalen Hurts in the 2020 NFL Draft has been a divisive one, it certainly makes more sense when you consider Wentz' injury history, including this concussion. Wentz has missed eight regular season games and almost four full playoff games with injuries over the past few seasons, so Hurts could very easily appear in games as early as 2020.
