Marcus Mariota's deal with Raiders is 2 years, $17.6 million
Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Marcus Mariota's contract is worth $17.6 million over two seasons.
Mariota agreed to terms with the Raiders last week. The deal also includes $7.5 million fully guaranteed in 2020 and carries a maximum value of $37.5 million. This sort of commitment seems to imply that the Raiders think Mariota could supplant Derek Carr as the team's starting quarterback. Mariota turned 26 last October.
Mariota averaged 14.34 FanDuel points and 196.5 passing yards with 7 touchdowns and 2 interceptions over six starts before being benched last season, with an additional 21.5 yards on the ground. Among the 39 quarterbacks with at least 150 dropbacks, Mariota was 28th in numberFire's adjusted passing metric. Carr ranked 9th.
