49ers reportedly re-sign safety Jimmie Ward for 3-years, $28.5 million
The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly re-signed safety Jimmie Ward to a three-year contract.
Ward will remain with the Niners after signing a contract worth around $28.5 million. Health seems to be Ward's biggest concern after several injuries sidelined the 28-year old for 24 games during his San Francisco tenure. Expect Ward to play a starting role in a 49ers' pass defense that rated second overall according to numberFire's 2019 power rankings.
In 56 career games, Wards has allowed 82 completions for 1,059 yards and 9 touchdowns on 143 targets.
