Chiefs re-up on Damien Williams for 2020
The Kansas City Chiefs exercised running back Damien Williams' 2020 option.
Williams is set to make $2.3 million in the final year of his contract. He was limited to 11 games by injuries last season, but Williams proved to be the Chiefs' best running back when healthy. Barring any offseason movement, Williams will lead a committee that includes Darrel Williams and Darwin Thompson.
Williams averaged 11.5 FanDuel points in 11 games last season, with 64.6 yards from scrimmage per game and 7 touchdowns. Among the five Chiefs' running backs with at least 10 carries last season, his 40.54 success rate was second-worst on the team.
