Ryan Finley taking over as Bengals' starting quarterback
Cincinnati Bengals rookie quarterback Ryan Finley will take over as the team's starter after the Week 9 bye.
The 0-8 Bengals have pulled the plug on Andy Dalton and decided to see what their fourth-round pick is capable of. “We need to see a rookie," Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said. "It takes more than one game to figure out what we have there. We’ll give him a chance to do that.” A.J. Green (ankle) is expected to make his season debut in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens, so that should help Finley out in his first taste of NFL action.
Finley completed 64.5 percent of his passes for 10,501 yards (7.7 per attempt) with 60 touchdowns and 25 interceptions over 39 games at North Carolina State.
