Derek Wolfe, Broncos agree to four-year extension
The Denver Broncos signed defensive end Derek Wolfe to a four-year, $36.7 million extension.
That keeps Wolfe in Denver through 2019. The deal comes with $17.5 million guaranteed. Wolfe missed the Broncos' first four games while serving a PED suspension but went on to have a breakout season with 49 tackles and 5.5 sacks. He was the AFC's Defensive Player of the Week for Week 8
Wolfe is a key part of a Denver defense which ended the regular season ranked first in Adjusted Defensive Net Expected Points per play. Wolfe and the Broncos, who are the AFC's No. 1 seed, host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
