Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys finalize 6-year extension
Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott signed a 6-year, $90 million contract extension.
The new deal includes $50 million guaranteed and makes Elliott the highest-paid running back in the history of the NFL. The 24-year-old is now signed with the Cowboys through the 2026 season. He's expected to practice on Wednesday and "the plan right now," according to NFL Network's Jane Slater, is for Elliott to get "about 20-25 reps" in Week 1 versus the New York Giants. Tony Pollard is the backup.
Elliott is the RB4 in numberFire's preseason fantasy rankings. Our models expect him to rush 294.2 times for 1,360.4 yards and 10.62 touchdowns this season, with 69.4 receptions for 499.9 yards and 2.72 touchdowns.
