San Francisco declines to name Kendall Gaskins the starting running back
The San Francisco 49ers announced on their pre-game release they will start Kendall Gaskins "or" DuJuan Harris against the Detroit Lions.
What It Means:
Thanks for the help, guys. We are guessing Gaskins gets the start. However, the 49ers left the door open for Harris to start, and they also activated Jarryd Hayne late this week. If one of them starts hot, San Francisco could let him ride.
It's a decent matchup for the 49ers' running game as Detroit ranks 22nd in Adjusted Defensive Rushing Net Expected Points per carry.
