Cardinals rule out Andre Ellington (turf toe) for Week 13
Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington (turf toe) has been ruled out for Week 13.
He should be considered out indefinitely with an injury that can linger, and sideline players for longer than anticipated. With Chris Johnson (tibia) done for the season, rookie David Johnson is primed for a big stretch run. His backups will be plodder Stepfan Taylor and speedy-but-inconsistent Kerwynn Williams.
Among the 68 running backs with at least 55 opportunities through Week 12, Ellington's 17.00 Total Net Expected Points (NEP) ranks 16th. He is fifth among these players in Total NEP per play.
