Washington's Jay Gruden will return as head coach in 2019
The Washington Redskins announced head coach Jay Gruden will officially return in 2019 on Friday.
Gruden will return for his sixth year with Washington after the Redskins announced on Friday he will remain as their head coach in 2019. In an injured riddled season, the Gruden-led Redskins struggled to a 7-9 record in 2018 despite starting 6-3.
After five full seasons with Washington, Gruden's current record stands at 35-44.
