Sam Bradford cleared but may not start Thursday for Eagles
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has been cleared from his concussion, Eagles' offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur confirmed Tuesday, but Shurmur said no decision has been made on the starting quarterback for Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions.
What It Means:
Shurmur said the team should know more after Tuesday's walkthrough. Several Philly beat writers have said they would be surprised if Bradford starts. Although Detroit bottled up Derek Carr and the Oakland Raiders last week, the Lions are an enticing matchup.
The Lions rank 30th in Adjusted Defensive Passing Net Expected Points per play. Among quarterbacks with at least 100 drop backs this season, Bradford ranks 26th in Passing NEP per drop back.
