Sterling Shepard (back) misses Giants' practice Wednesday
New York Giants wide receiver Sterling Shepard (back) did not practice Wednesday.
Shepard had a cyst removed from his back Tuesday, but head coach Pat Shurmur expects him to return to practice before the Giants square off against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. There's not any concern about Shepard's Week 5 status. The third-year wideout is averaging 8.0 catches, 78.5 yards, and a touchdown over the past two games.
numberFire's models currently project Shepard for 9.0 FanDuel points at a cost of $6,200 versus the Panthers, with 6.4 targets, 4.2 receptions, 52.0 yards, and 0.29 touchdowns. He's the WR41 in our Week 5 fantasy rankings.
