Cook broke his index finger November 26 in practice and has been out ever since. He will miss Iowa's next two games versus the North Dakota Fighting Hawks and Delaware State Hornets. Cook will return for the first game of the Big 10 season as Iowa takes on the Purdue Boilermakers.

In the six games he had played this year, the freshman was averaging 13.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in only 25.7 minutes per game.
