Yogi Ferrell reportedly re-ups with Mavericks for 2 years

The Dallas Mavericks and guard Yogi Ferrell have agreed to a 2-year, $5.3 million contract, reports Sham Charania of Yahoo Sports.

What It Means:

Per Charania, the Mavericks guaranteed Ferrell the backup shooting guard job behind Luka Doncic for next season. He played 27.8 minutes per game in his second year but will likely see that number dip after Dallas added more talent to the backcourt.

Ferrell averaged 19.3 FanDuel points in 82 games (21 starts) for the Mavericks last season, with 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 1.6 3-pointers on 42.6 percent shooting from the floor and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc.
