Clint Capela meeting with the Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers and restricted free agent Clint Capela met on Sunday, per David Aldridge of NBA.com.
What It Means:
The Lakers are clearly looking to make a big splash this off-season. In addition to meeting with Capela, they have met with DeMarcus Cousins, engaged in trade talks for Kawhi Leonard and are oddsmakers' front-runner to land LeBron James. The Rockets are considered likely to match if Capela does sign an offer sheet with another team.
Capela averaged career-highs in all of points (13.9), rebounds (10.8), blocks (1.9) and steals (1.4) in 27.5 minutes per game last season. He shot a league-high 65.2% effective field goal percentage.
