OKC's Nick Collison retires after 15 NBA seasons

Oklahoma City Thunder forward/center Nick Collison announced his retirement after 15 seasons in the NBA.

What It Means:

Collison played every game of his career with the Thunder or then-Seattle SuperSonics. A former first-round pick, Collison played a key role in the team's success with Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and company in Oklahoma City. It wouldn't be surprising for him to land an NBA media job before long.

In 15 games this season, Collison averaged just 2.1 points and 1.3 rebounds. He ends his career with averages of 5.9 points and 5.2 rebounds in 910 games.
