Elfrid Payton (knee) ruled out for Suns on Wednesday night
Phoenix Suns point guard Elfrid Payton will not play in Wednesday's game versus the Los Angeles Clippers as he deals with knee tendinitis.
Payton has struggled recently, scoring under 10 points in 4 of his past 6 games, including a goose egg in his most recent outing, and will now get a night off. Tyler Ulis, who set a season-high with 19 points on Monday, will draw the start for the Suns on Wednesday.
Through 19 games this season, Payton is averaging 11.8 points, 5.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists.
