Celtics' Kyrie Irving (knee) to undergo 'minimally invasive' procedure on Saturday
Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving will receive knee surgery on Saturday.
What It Means:
"Irving will tomorrow undergo a minimally invasive procedure to alleviate irritation in his left knee," the Celtics said in a statement. There was no word on a timetable but more information will be made available tomorrow after the procedure. Kyrie, who hasn't played since March 11, turns 26 today. Terry Rozier is expected to draw another start tonight versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
Irving is averaging 37.8 FanDuel points per game this season.
