Celtics' Kyrie Irving (knee) seeking second opinion
Boston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving is reportedly seeking a second opinion on his sore left knee.
According to the Boston Globe's Tony Massarotti, Irving will get a second opinion as early as tomorrow. The decision will come down to whether Irving is to play the rest of the season or not. If he needs the screws removed from his knee, a surgical procedure would, in all likelihood, end his season (and postseason). Until he returns, Terry Rozier and Shane Larkin will hold down the fort with Marcus Smart (thumb) also out.
If he plays out the year, our models project Irving to average 21.5 points, 6.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds over 34.1 minutes per game the rest of the way.
