Warriors' Klay Thompson diagnosed with fractured thumb, to be re-evaluated next week
According to ESPN's Chris Haynes, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson suffered a fractured right thumb and will be re-evaluated next Thursday.
The injury -- originally believed to be a simple sprain -- will keep Thompson out for at least four more games. Other reports suggest that it could take "weeks" to heal and could sideline him several games. Either way, this hurts the chances of Golden State capturing the 1 seed in the West. Stephen Curry (ankle) has already been ruled out until March 20th, so Kevin Durant will shoulder a large workload with Nick Young and Omri Casspi getting more time.
Thompson is averaging 30.3 FanDuel points with 19.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game. He's missed just one game to this point of the season.
