Spurs' Kawhi Leonard (quad) present, does not participate in Saturday shootaround
San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard was at Saturday's shootaround but was not a participant, reports Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News.
As the news around Leonard's status continues to come out, there's still a lot of unknowns about a potential return date. He's supposedly looking at returning some time in March, but his progress appears to be going slowly. So long as the Spurs remain in a playoff spot, they have no reason to rush him back before the playoffs. Until then, Kyle Anderson and Rudy Gay will pick up minutes in his stead.
Over 12 games and 30.8 minutes per game, we project Leonard for 16.8 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists over the rest of the 2017-18 season.
