Heat looking to play Bam Adebayo more minutes with Hassan Whiteside
Miami Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said that he'll look to get power forward/center Bam Adebayo more minutes alongside center Hassan Whiteside.
Due to injuries and rotations, Adebayo and Whiteside have played just 36 minutes together this season. The Heat have gone 6-1 in the games they've played alongside one another. Spoelstra added, "Bam is becoming undeniable now" and "They're both playing very good basketball, very impactful basketball. I want to maximize that as much as possible." That could mean fewer minutes for guys like James Johnson and Kelly Olynyk (shoulder).
In their 36 minutes together, Adebayo and Whiteside have a -0.2 net rating, but they've rebounding 59.7% of available rebounds while holding teams to 93.3 points per 100 possessions.
