Kevin Durant (ankle) ruled out Sunday as Warriors play Nets
Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant (ankle) will not play Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets.
Durant sprained his ankle in the first quarter of Saturday's game, and while he finished the contest, the injury might have worsened overnight. There is also the fact that the Warriors are playing the Nets, so they will play it safe with their star on the second night of a back to back. The last game Durant missed Andre Iguodala got the start, while Patrick McCaw and Omri Casspi saw more minutes off the bench. Look for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green to also have their usage increased with Durant on the bench.
Our models project Durant for averages of 25.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 blocks over 34.3 minutes per game remaining this season.
