Magic unsure if Elfrid Payton (hamstring) will return on Wednesday

Orlando Magic coach Frank Vogel said that point guard Elfrid Payton is still experiencing tightness in his strained left hamstring.

What It Means:

Per OrlandoMagic.com's John Denton, Vogel is unsure if Payton will return to action on Wednesday. The team's starting point guard has already missed eight games and could miss more as a result of the setback. If he remains out, Shelvin Mack should start as Evan Fournier and Jonathon Simmons see more opportunities on the offensive end. Meanwhile, D.J. Augustin (hamstring) will be out for an extended period of time.

Over 71 games, we project Payton to average 15 points, 7.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 34.2 minutes per game the rest of the season.
