Magic decline option on former top-five pick Mario Hezonja

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Orlando Magic have declined the fourth-year option on guard/forward Mario Hezonja.

What It Means:

The fifth overall pick in 2015, Hezonja hasn't made his way in the NBA, or at least yet. He's still just 22 years old, but the Croatian has averaged just 5.5 points and 16.3 minutes per game through 150 career games. He has played only 78 minutes so far this season, as he has to deal with the presence of Jonathon Simmons and Jonathan Isaac behind starter Evan Fournier.

Over 55 games, our models project Hezonja to tally 5.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game the rest of this season.
