Hassan Whiteside (knee) ruled out Wednesday for Miami
Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside will not play Wednesday, according to the Miami Herald's Manny Navarro.
On opening night, Whiteside suffered a bone bruise to his left knee and hasn't played since. An update isn't expected until the weekend, with the hope that Whiteside returns on Saturday. For Wednesday's game against the San Antonio Spurs, Jordan Mickey will probably start once again, with Kelly Olynyk and James Johnson serving as the main beneficiaries of Whiteside's absence.
Whiteside put up 55.9 FanDuel points in his lone start this season. He was projected for 16.0 points, 11.9 rebounds and 2.0 blocks prior to being ruled out for Wednesday's game.
