Hornets' Michael Carter-Williams (knees) to remain out on Friday

Charlotte Hornets guard Michael Carter-Williams has been ruled out against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

What It Means:

In September, Carter-Williams underwent stem-cell therapy on both knees and has been dealing with soreness since. He doesn't have a timetable to return yet so Malik Monk and Julyan Stone will serve as Kemba Walker's backup until he is healthy enough to get on the floor.

In his first year in Charlotte, Carter-Williams is projected for 6.0 points, 2.9 assists and 2.2 points per game in 64 games this season.
