D'Angelo Russell shines in debut with the Nets
Brooklyn Nets guard D'Angelo Russell debuted with 30 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds in 30.5 minutes of action in Wednesday's loss to the Indiana Pacers.
The Nets lost Jeremy Lin (knee) for the season in that game, and Russell looks locked into a huge role in the backcourt this season.
Not yet accounting for Lin's injury, numberFire's models project Russell for 17.1 points, 5.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 32.7 minutes per game this season. We also project him for 37.2 FanDuel points in his next game, taking on the Orlando Magic on Friday.
