Nick Young hits 6 3-pointers, finishes with 23 points in Warriors' opener
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Nick Young scored 23 points on 8-of-9 shooting while going 6-for-7 on 3-pointers in 26 minutes off the bench in Tuesday night's opening loss to the Houston Rockets.
Young also added a pair of rebounds and converted his one free throw attempt. Most of his output came in a first half burst where Young scored 20 points in 13 minutes. This sort of production will be difficult to maintain, and Andre Iguodala (back) won't be out every night, but it's a reminder of the sort of upside that Young brings to the table. The Warriors play again on Friday against the New Orleans Pelicans.
Young finished with 24.4 FanDuel points on Tuesday, doubling our projection of 12.2 FanDuel points. numberFire's models expect him to average 8.3 points and 1.7 3-pointers in 18.2 minutes per game over the rest of the season.
